Dr Xiandeng (William) Hu was born in Zhanjiang, Guangdong, China. Hu studied his Bachelors Degree at Southern China University of Technology (SCUT) in 1977, majoring in Civil Engineering. He lectured in Tianjin University after graduating from SCUT until 1991. He received his Masters Degree in Resource Management from Tianjin University. In 1991, he received a scholarship from the Australian Government to complete his PHD at The University of New England in New South Wales, Australia. In 1993, he joined the Queensland Department of Natural Resources as a research fellow and studied environmental pollution control. In 1995, he was appointed as a lecture by James Cook University. In 2000, he joined the research group in the Civil Department of Queensland University. In 2001, he was appointed by University of Southern Queensland as a lecturer again. Due to his contribution in teaching and research, Dr Hu was recorded in Who’s Who in the word in 1999. In 2003, Dr Hu resigned from university and formed International Investment and Education Centre Pty Ltd, starting a new life and career. The rest of his work can be seen in this website.
